African Wax Prints, commonly known as Ankara by West Africans is everywhere nowadays. Ankara has been worn by our ancestors and still being worn by millions of Africans every day. We wear it casually and formally at weddings, engagements, and work. Ankara prints are typically known and cherished for their bold, vibrant patterns and colors. The patterns are sublime with natural beauty and character, and are more graceful when used the right way. The current trend now is mixing the west with ethnic touches, wearing a shirt or solid color blouses with an Ankara skirt or wearing Ankara shirts with pants.
