A few weeks ago I wrote a post titled “Ethnic Jewelry: Forms and Functions” in which I talked a little about Tuareg Crosses. Today, I am expanding on this wonderful jewelry.
Tuareg people, sometimes called the “Blue people” because their robes are dyed blue (see images below) are predominantly nomadic people of the Sahara Desert. They are fiercely independent and known for their bold, high quality and impressive artistic designs.
The Tuareg cross is worn by both men and women. To the women, the cross conveys social status and prestige. The men use it as token of affection, friendship, dowry, or sentimental heirlooms passed from one generation to another when they reached puberty. The Tuareg people prefer to wear silver because it is the metal of the prophet and it represent the four corners of the world. They use the crosses for trade in exchange for foods and cloth and rings.
Jeluxury.com is very proud to carry Tuareg crosses, earrings, cuffs and bracelet on its website. You will receive 10% off when you order by March 31st with promo code Launch 10. We also offer free shipping on orders $100 and above. There are few of these gorgeous jewelries left so be sure to get them before they are gone.
Click on the picture or the link below each jewelry to learn more.
